Woven Ribbon Sweatshirt // DIY

This project only requires an old sweatshirt and some ribbon.

Easy peasy sweater weavy.

No?
My roommate made that one up anyway.

Read on to learn how!
SUPPLIES:
-Old sweatshirt
-Various ribbons
-On hand: sewing machine, scissors

HOW:

1. Cut the crew neck of the sweatshirt so that it creates an off-the-shoulder scoop neck.

2. Make cuts in the sweatshirt as shown below. Do NOT to cut all the way to the edge. (Leave about a 2 inch gap between where the cut ends and the neck of the sweatshirt starts).

3. Weave various ribbons in the cuts you made. Sew down the edges with thread that matches your sweatshirt to secure in place.

4. Jump for joy!

  4. I know this is an old post, but I'm so happy it's still here and I found it! My winter at-home wear is all about sweats, but I've really been wanting to do something to jazz it up and maybe ever wear it on the go. And here you are! ThankUmuchly! DonnaL
